Think.Sign.Learn NZSL

NZSL Taster classes are the perfect way to start learning NZSL.

If you've ever wanted to learn New Zealand Sign Language but were not sure where to start or what it's all about, why not try a "taste" and join one of the many NZSL Taster classes held during NZSL Week.

The classes are FREE, a whole lot of FUN and will be held throughout the country in various locations, including libraries, community centres, schools, universities, businesses etc. Watch out for information in your local paper or visit Deaf Aotearoa's Event Calendar to see what's happening in your region.

Each class runs for approximately 45 minutes. Attendees will learn basic phrases in NZSL, the fingerspelling alphabet, information about Deaf culture, vocabulary that is specific to the business or organisation and have a few laughs along the way in a supportive environment.

If your business or organisation wishes to set up NZSL Taster Class/es for free of charge during the NZSL Week 2010, please fill in a registration form here or contact nzsign@deaf.org.nz
